A simple and brief note about The Protagonist:
The Protagonist (and with it, Sonic4 Test Records) began in
July 2022, noticably
inspired from
The Caretaker's Selected Memories From The Haunted Ballroom.
The first
release played with this theme of altering music to create
an eerie and haunting experience that represents itself as
the emotions and memories of Eray
going through
8th grade. Subsequently the sound has become darker and
often
more abstract
over time, exploring the concept of how the true context of
such memories fails to hold up
as a result of rejecting the present day in hopes of
reliving the past. The past isn't perfect, but you can make
the best of your today.
It can be a
harsh world at times but ultimately, exposure is always
rewarding. Immerse yourself in the darkness and give into
these digitally recalled
memories.
The Protagonist as a character, is a person who's a
collection of my memories.
A reflection of my past experiences, horrible tragedies, and
my dark side.
