"Musical Revenge to a Thief Music" is Local Radar's debut album as Bad Citizen. It's a compilation of cliche Russian music about stealing and criminal life distorted to hate and poke fun at it. The end result is very fun and interesting.

"This is my first album in the style of V/Vm where I distort the hits of Russian radio from 1990s-2010s, namely the musical layer of Russian chanson thieves' music. The songs of this genre are usually completely empty and meaningless, just weird tales about how "cool" prison life is.

With this album I want to prove that this is absolutely not true, I hate the thieves' culture. This is a strange echo of the criminal showdowns of the late 20th century, which should simply go down in history and not receive any popularity at all.

I sampled from various artists, Mikhail Krug (More like Michael Kroogly), Alexander Dyumin (who needs to be called Alexander DUNE), as well as many other elements of the mouldy old dough which were once relevant in the wild time of the 80s and 90s. I applied various editing and enhancement measures to all samples: Slicing, adding frequency shifters, distortion and collaging parts of the song with other arcs.

It was fun, I will remember it for a long time. I recommend downloading the digital version from Sonic's Bandcamp, because there are funny bonus images of distorted faces of sample performers that I made in Photoshop."
