This project first began with
Alice98's (and Alice98 Test Records') first
release,
"Dead Princess". The first side was a
marching band cover of Remilia's Theme, and the
second side was a chopped up mixbag of several
other Touhou songs. The song (and the album)
became an instant hit and everyone loved it.
Remilia 'Moero!' Scarlet on the
other hand, began with me. Around June 2024 I
wanted to make an unofficial sequel to Dead
Princess as a surprise for Remi. And that's how
"Dead Princess (Again)" happened. The first
side was another version of Remilia's Theme that
sounded similar to Alice98's Dead Princess, and
the second side was a ten minute long post
awareness track with various Touhou and
Lieutenant Pigeon songs. Why? For no reason. I
just wanted to.
Then, the third album,
"Gensokyo Marching Band" was made. Who made
it? I made it of course. I'm the biggest VAMPIRE
fan out there. I'm pretty sure everyone else
stopped caring, but I wanted to make a full
album of Touhou marching band songs that all
sounded like Dead Princess. So, Remi and I
hopped on a call, worked the entire day, and
made the album in one sitting.
And now, the fourth and final
album
"Mouldy Old Mashup"
was also something I made as a joke, just for
pure fun. I wanted to see what would happen if I
tried to combine the VAMPIRE songs with the
original sample material from Lieutenant Pigeon.
The outcome was fun but I didn't want it to be
on Alice98 Test Records because it was too
specific and irrelevant to be there, so I
released it here.
