This is the twenty fifth release of Sonic4 Test Records. The Album Code STALE series is used for compilation albums.
Off The Charts is a compilation album produced by Sonic4 and released by CQ(bq). It's supposed to be a bootleg vinyl release of AuditoryStaleDoner, which was the first compilation album on Sonic4 Test Records. CQ(bq) has brought back a few classics from STALE01 as well as adding in brand new songs. Instead of the album being a celebration of a milestone, it's a hopeless throwback to the early days of the label.
"At the time, I was unable to make anything new because of how high the expectations were. The label was going on a negative downwards spiral with more releases focusing on quality over quantity. That's how I got the idea for Off The Charts, it was going to be an album that devalues quality. CQ(bq) is an acronym for Cost Quality - Benefit Quality analysis, which became the theme of the album. And surprisingly, it fueled Sonic4 Test Records back to the original premise of making music just for fun." - A brief backstory of this release (from Sonic4)
