Sonic4 - $TEAL
digital download (STOLEN01)
"$TEAL" is
the first entry of the STOLEN series, which is used for singles.
It was originally made to show hatred towards the monopoly of
subscription culture over the music industry, but the meaning of
it changed hours after its release. The song itself is a noisy
version of ABBA's "Money Money Money".
"The same day when I released it, I received a letter
saying that someone signed up to a website creating platform for
musicians called 'Bandzoogle' using my email adress. I called
for help and got the page removed. A couple of hours later, the
same $hit happened again. This time, the site had more stuff
than before. It was sort of like a bootleg Sonic4 Test Records,
which confused me. I got angry and got the account deleted
again.
ASDF then found a fake deleted compilation album on Discogs,
and found a neocities site that was a $hitty copy my website.
From there, we found his Bandcamp too. It was a bootleg hell. A
bunch of $hitty knockoff of my past releases. Why would someone
do this? Trolling? Nah, this isn't trolling. Is it being a fan?
I also don't know, could be. But in the end, I'd say that this
is just a retarded kid who keeps stealing my $hit for fun."
